Bill Kenwright
Bill Kenwright CBE is a successful theatrical producer, and is responsible for the record-breaking tour of Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, the national tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Jesus Christ Super Star, Jim Steinman's Whistle Down the Wind and Willy Russell's Blood Brothers.
His most recent production, Treats, stars Billie Piper, Kris Marshall and Laurence Fox.
He produced the London revival of Cabaret at the Lyric Theatre in September 2006, starring Anna Maxwell Martin, James Dreyfus and Sheila Hancock, which has been extended into 2007.
Other productions have included West End runs of Whistle Down The Wind at the Palace Theatre, Festen, The Big Life, Elmina's Kitchen, Scrooge - The Musical, The Night Of The Iguana, A Few Good Men and A Man For All Seasons.
He has also co-produced several films including The Day After the Fair, Stepping Out and Don't Go Breaking My Heart.
He was nominated for a London Theatre Critics' Best Director award for West Side Story at the Shaftesbury Theatre and a Tony award for Blood Brothers in New York. In 2000, he was awarded the CBE for his services to film and theatre. In 2002, he received the Variety Club Bernard Delfont award for his contribution to the entertainment industry.
