People and PlacesYou are in: Humber > Features > People and Places > Walk in and Give up Walk in and Give upStop smoking, Start living. . . that’s the message from the NHS – and it’s the mantra for a whole range of support services, programmes and methods for ‘kicking the habit’. If you’re ready to give up smoking – or even if you’re not quite ready, but are curious about the options open to you if and when you are ready, pop along to the Hull Open Centre at Queens Gardens in Hull and have a quick chat with one of the Hull Health Trainers on the ‘Quit Smoking desk’ every Friday from 10am. A quick chat with, Health Trainer Beverly Deters or one of her colleagues can make all the difference. She can help you decide if you’re ready, what kind of support you might need and which of the many aids to ‘giving up’ might suit you. • You can choose from group or one to one support or find out more about getting help over the phone
For a bit more incentive, Beverly can perform a quick Carbon Monoxide test and, to keep you motivated, you can pop along and chat to Beverly each Friday at the Open Centre to monitor your progress. Walk in and start your journey to a smoke free lifestyle.Ìý Every Friday from 10am at the Hull Open Centre, Queens Gardens, Hull last updated: 30/03/2009 at 14:45 SEE ALSOYou are in: Humber > Features > People and Places > Walk in and Give up |
