This is where details of Children in Need fund raisers can be found. If you are planning a fundraiser, tell everyone about it here. Details of how to get in touch are at the bottom of the page.

Already done

Emma Bower has had a drastic hair treatment. She had long dark hair, but has had part of it shaved bleached and had a leopard print permanent colour put on! But she has raised pennies for pudsey in the process.

Wendy Whitehouse has been busy, she held a raffle and baked Pudsey cookies and cakes which her family are selling to friends and colleagues at work.

Guy Gosselin certainly did something different, He took a solo tour of the Matterhorn in Switzerland and Italy back in June All sponsorship is going to Children In Need.

Sue Speed is nearing the end of her sponsored slim. She started back in May and will conclude this week so she can collect all the money in time for the 14th November.

Whitgift School have already started. They held a raffle for children in need a prize every time raffle to be sure to get the quids in. It was run by 2 disabled women, Carol and Pam with 10 year old grandson Cameron. They have raised over £200 from our wheelchairs.

On the 2nd November, the Hug-a-thon was in Scarborough. The team that brought you the hug-a-thon in Hull on the Saturday moved up the coast to Scarborough for Sunday to offer you a hug for Pudsey in Scarborough High Street.

The Yorkshire Building Society are inviting you to a Coffee Morning, with tombola, pudsey scratch cards, guess the number of sweets in a jar. It's on Friday the 7th November at the Boothferry Road, Goole branch.

Hayley and her friends from Slingsby near York are spending a weekend in pyjamas, weather they are in....or out! that certainly is different. Well done girls and don't forget to wrap up in your bathrobes if it's cold!

Sophie Weaver is raising money by doing a sponsored wheelchair push across the Humber Bridge. Good Luck from you mum.

Here's something else a bit different. Babies footprints. The Breastfeeding support group at 91Èȱ¬ Farm Hessle will be taking babies footprints and attaching them to poem to create keepsake for parents. It will take place at the Hessle Health Centre on Monday the 10th November, but if you can't get to that, theres also another session on the 14th at the Hessle Health Centre.

11th November

Fancy yourself in the latest clobber? Danielle and the team at Newland School for Girls are hosting a fashion show, but in keeping with the theme of "Do something different"Ìý it's themed as throught the decades. Please go along and show your support.

Carol Winter is holding an aerobics session at Milburn LeisureÌýWheeler Street in Hull from 7pm. It costs a £2 donation which of course will go to Children in Need.

The Hull City Council Children & Young Peoples Services will have around 150 learners and staff walking across the Humber Bridge on Wednesday the 12th Nov in fancy dress.

Julie Middleton and The Market Rasen Children's Centre are having an under 5s disco, with tombola & name the bear over lunchtime. Good luck with raising lots of pennies for Pudsey!

14th November

Lee & Gill are having a sponsored head shave, and hope to raise over £1000 in the process It's taking place at 2.00pm, at the Aspen Lodge Care 91Èȱ¬ Yarborough Road, Skegness. Good luck to you.

Kelly and friend Clair are going in the stocks while their friends son Peter is going to be bathing in jelly and ice cream! last year Kelly was bathing in flour and water.
It's all happening at the Frederick Holmes School.

There's an open day at the Co-operative Funeral Care, 423 Grimsby Road, Cleethorpes.ÌýThere will be tea coffee biscuits and raffle and a limousine full of balloons for you to guess how many there are.

Trin Young People's Centre, Trinity Road, Cleethorpes are offering a chance to climb a 35 ft pole (it does wobble!) and leap off onto a trapeze together with your partner/friend.ÌýYou have to pay £25 before the climb, of course in aidÌý of Children in Need.

The X Changers are having a swap shop at Whitgift School.Ìý A chance for people to swap their unwanted gifts, or items that are of no longer use to them, for something that they would really like. And leave a donation of course! It's all happening between 9.00am and 5.00pm.

Liz Everingham and the staff and children of Wold Primary School, Wold Road are dressing up as characters from books (to link with the fact that is the Year of Reading) and raising pennies for Pudsey by giving a donation for the privilege.

Beki Townend The Acorns Children's Centre, Nestor Grove, Bilton Grange are busy for Children in Need this year, Pamper In Need takes place on the 14th from 1pm till 3pm and then they have another event tomorrow. See the 15th for more details...

Josie and the children at Paisley Primary in Hull are having a two week fundraiser which will finish on the 14th. Events will include cover Pudsey with small change, cake stall, competitions in school - winners Build-a-pudsey, face-painting, wear a Pudsey bandana in an usual way, wear something yellow / spotty / Pudsey-ish to school.

Elaine and the staff at Wescot Credit Services are raising funds for Children in Need this year at their Hull Contact Centre. There are around 400 staff working there who are going to dress down for the day. They raised a lot of money last year, and £3000 is the target this year. Can they reach it? Let's hope so.

Hello to Megan and family who are really taking the "Do Something Different" theme to heart. They are going to walk across the Humber Bridge and back again. What is different about that I hear you cry? Well they will be in chains when they do it to raise some more pennies for Pudsey.

The Busy Bee's Day Nursery are having an All day fun day on Children in Need day. There will be fancy dress, a male nursery nurse will also have his head shaved, there will be Baking, etc. as well.

Something else completely different from Chris Glen. Chris and his colleagues want you to get involved in a world record attempt in Goole. They are trying to break the world record for the longest human/toy chain. They have their work cut out too as when they decided to do it, the world record was at 631, since then it has been broken again and now stands at 2623 so they need your help. they would like you to go along and be part of a new world record attempt. You need to take yourself, a donation of any amount for Children in Need, and a soft toy the precinct in Goole at 2pm.

If you're fit and like dancing this is one for you. The Riverview Gym, Phoenix House, Grovehill Road, Beverley are holding a Dance-a-thon. It will be a 2 hour aerobic/dance workout for children between 6 & 11 on Friday 14th November from 5.30-7.30pm.

Stoke Rochford Hall is doing something different by holding a ball and auction.....with a very special lot......yes Children in Need host and presenter, Terry Wogan is up for grabs to the highest bidder..... No, not the real one.... But nearly as good. They will be auctioning the genuine Spitting Image puppet of Terry Wogan, originally purchased from Sothebys in 2001 by Stoke Rochford Hall Director, Peter Robinson, who has kindly donated it for this purpose. The Ball and Auction will take place on Friday the 14th November at Stoke Rochford Hall Conference and Banqueting Centre Stoke Rochford Near Grantham Lincolnshire. Take plenty of water!

Fancy a 70's flashback? In Bridlington they are dressing in 70's clothing for Children in Need. There's also a sponsored SPACEHOPPER event, with a dj, raffle, colouring competition, and hopefully a 70's dance display by local dance school. It's all taking place at the Outside BAY, The Promenades, Bridlington.

Yasmin and the team at Wolds College, Louth are pampering for Pudsey. The hair and beauty department at wolds collage are doing treatments and raffle to raise money for children in need on the 14th so pop along to Wolds College, give a donation to Pudsey, and let the Hair and Beauty department work their magic on you!

West Building Supplies are joining in the Pudsey fun. There are about 40 members of staff that work there who are planning on coming to work in fancy dress to raise as much money as possible.

15th November

Beki Townend The Acorns Children's Centre, Nestor Grove, Bilton Grange are busy for Children in Need this year, after yesterday's Pamper in Need, they are now back today with Sport in Need! You can go along and support, and donate between 11am and 3pm.


Dawn Roe is getting involved this year by selling cakes and bread at the local farmers market, with a charity box on stall. the 15th November is the day it will take place at the Market Weighton Farmers Market.

Fancy a bit of theatre? Off Shoots Musical Theatre Group are showcasing the talent in the group is a special fund raising Concert on Saturday 15 November 2008. It's at TheÌý Tickton Little Theatre in Tickton near Beverley.

18th November

Daniel from Hornsea is doing a sponsored walk all the way from Hornsea to Hull down the old railway line to get us some more pennies for Pudsey. Good luck with that.

21st November

The Hibaldstow Club on West Street, Hibaldstow are holding a Horse Race night with raffle, Fancy Dress and disco. It's taking place on two nights, Friday the 21st and Saturday the 22nd of November.

It's that time of year again when the 91Èȱ¬ joins together with YOU, the great British public to raise money for lots of worthy causes all with a common theme - helping children.

Not got an event planned? You can still help.

One thing that everyone can get involved with is Pennies For Pudsey, where we ask you to put a collecting jar in your workplace to collect all those pennies that are knocking around the country - an estimated £65 million worth is unaccounted for - in collecting jars in reception, the canteen, wherever....Feel free to customise your jar with a big picture of Pudsey!!
