I have written about my experience, aged 7, in 1940, when we were bombed out, i.e. the house was destroyed and one member of my family was killed. As I get older these memories become clearer; they do not recede. What I would like to know is what information there is about this event. Other bombs dropped near us later on - this was on Stockport Road, Denton - but I don`t know anything about these. I think we just didn`t look. Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council should have a lot of information from newspapers etc. but I haven`t yet contacted them to ask for it specifically.
I am not sure what else I am supposed to write in this space.
