im a 29 year old man from liverpool who is about to join territorial army parachute regiment. when i start my training in may i am happy to keep any persons, who are interested, up tp date with my training,my feelings and the ups and down i know i am sure to encounter as an airbourne soldier. i have a passion with ww11, especially the events that occured before, during and after d-day. i am especially interested in easy co of the 101st division 506th pir. i constantly read new accounts of d-day and what the citizen soldiers of ww11 went through. every time i read a new version, whether it be written by a professional historian or a d-day vet who was there, i get a new perspective on events and you see accounts from different books being tied in together, old stories that i have forgotten will suddenly get a new lease of life and im once again re-reading old books to ragain the feeling of excitement i felt the first time that i read it. i will continue to read new and old accounts of ww11 as i dont think i will ever tire of hearing how the every day person saved the world from tyrany and secured our freedom .
