I am writing this section on behalf of my mother Eunice Jones, nee Edwards, who is now 88 years old and does not belong to the world of computers!

Biographical details:
Born to Clement and Lizzie Edwards in 1917, she was the middle child of three. Her elder brother was Stanley Edwards and her younger sister, Evelyn (both now deceased). Her father ran the Birmingham paper merchants, C H Edwards & Co.

Stanley was called up and served with the Royal Warwickshire Regiment, while Evelyn joined the ATS. Eunice remained in Birmingham, being transferred from Birmingham Corporation into a branch of the Civil Service.

My mother has spent several months recalling her wartime experiences which, of necessity I have had to break into five separate sections. This has somewhat disrupted the flow of her text.
