My father served in B squadron of the 141st RAC 79th Armoured division. I am interested in any information related to them or the Chruchill Crocodile tanks that were in use with this unit. My one regret was that after my father's death we lost his copy of "The old Playboys" this book written, I believe by Capt Harry Bailey focussed on the exploits of B Squadron after D Day.
I think the nickname old playboys was given to the squadron because they secured a 48hr leave back to England pretty early on after the invasion of Europe to the envy of the other troops.
