Stephen Simpson now resides in Crossgates, Leeds England.
He fought on the front line through Normandy to Germany and to Egypt.
He took part in liberation, hard fighting and front line activity been promoted through to Sergeant along the way.
My name is Amanda Morgan I am one of his many grandchildren. Growing up listening to his detailed memories has given my family an extra interest and respect for the soldiers of WW2 I felt it necessary to record his evidence of what happend and why it should never happen again. He is now a part of living history and his story is now recorded for us all to learn from, lest forgetting the huge loss of lives of those men who were not as lucky as my Grandfather to make it home alive or even in one piece.
