I have submitted text which my grandfather, Mr Ernest H Foard, dictated onto tape and I have transcribed. He is now 90 years old and has given an account of the part he played in the British Army from the years 1939 to 1945 as he remembers it. He was awarded the Military Medal for his efforts.
