I have been interested in planes particularly the Spitfire and Hurricane ever since i was 4 years old. I religiously watched the battle of britain every september. At the age of 13 i joined the Air Cadets and gained an excellent insight in to the RAF. At 17 I joined the RAF Regiment and served 5 years, serving in cyprus, Pakistan,Afghanistan,Oman,Germany,Kuwait and UK.
in 2004 i joined the Police In Manchester.
I still have a place in my heart for any veteran who served in WW2. What they did for the country will never be forgotten by myself. The war was the last war where skill from the individual was present, not technological advances.
Airmen in the Battle of Briatin in my opinion had "Balls Of Steel". It was really a test of skill, overcoming exhaustion, and a fight for survival.
Well done.. you will never be forgetten. Per Ardua.
