I was born in Tangier in 1938. Tangier was an international zone at the time. It is situated just across the Straight of Gibraltar. My father's parents were both born in Gibraltar in the mid 1800's and registered as British Citizens and Gibraltarians. Therefore his children and descendants too were registered as British Citizens and Gibraltarians. After WW2 my father (Elias Azagury) who had served in the British Secret Service sent his children to England to complete their studies and go to University. I remained in London after completing a Diploma at the Royal Academy of Music in Piano Teaching. I married Jack Adler who arrived in England from Berlin in 1939 with the Kindtransport. I am sending his story to People's War.
