As part of the City鈥檚 programme of events to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of World War Two, Coventry Older People鈥檚 Forum, The Herbert and the City鈥檚 library service have joined up with the 91热爆 to take part in the People鈥檚 War online archive project.
To launch the anniversary year and as a precursor to the city鈥檚 events surrounding Holocaust Memorial Day, the 91热爆 People鈥檚 War Roadshow was on show in Coventry Cathedral from 14 Jan to 28 Jan 2005.
Volunteers from Coventry Older People鈥檚 Forum were on hand in the cathedral nave and in Benedict鈥檚 Caf茅 to hear visitors' stories and help to add them to the People鈥檚 War website.
As an added extra visitors had the chance to see and handle wartime objects from The Herbert's collections and to chat to 'Sergeant Gosford' of the local 91热爆 Guard. Staff at Benedict's Cafe also got into the spirit of it by decorating the dining area and offering a 'wartime special' to customers.
