91热爆

Way back about 1944, three fellas in the inspection department amused themselves during lunch break playing accordion, guitar, mouth organ, bones and from this, Dennis the leader started 'Dan Carson and his Ranchos'.

The fellas were Dennis, stage name 'Dan' Douglas, Ken, Tony, Mike, Arthur and a couple more. I was 'roped in' with my friend beryl to be the female singers in his Hillbilly band. We performed at hospital and factories. Our claim to fame was performing in the factory, her 'works wonders' which was a 91热爆 programme from factories all over the country. Brian Johnson was the compere. We even performed at Broadmoor which was scary especially for Beryl and myself as one of our duets was 'Don't fence me in'. Can you imagine my knees went to jelly it was so scary. Afterwards we had a buffet served up by the patients and one tempted us to homemade cake which we couldn't eat as we thought it could he could have been a poisoner! The poor man probably wasn't. We carried on till the end of the war and then disbanded as Dennis alias Dan Carson emigrated to America to San Diego.

Although the war was a dreadful time, teenagers like me we made faun, homemade fun is the best.
