The story was written by my father on the advice of the Matron of Sutton hospital where he was being treated for his wounds and nerves.
It is too long to publish on this site but it tells of call up from the TA to going to France with the BEF, being shot in the chest, taken prisoner, escaping and his terrible experiences to get back to Dunkirk for the evacuation to England where he still had trouble as he was dressed as a French peasant.
The story I'm afraid is about 20 pages but a very interesting read.
