Walking around Oswestry, I often wondered how our parents fed us, but there was always something there for us.
The rationing affected us but as we lived in the country there were a lot of vegetables being produced and my parents were very thrifty with what they had.
My Father and I used to cycle 12 miles to go and get a rabbit on a Sunday morning! There wasn鈥檛 an abundance of anything, but we did as well as could be expected with what was available.
