We are Lewis, Kennedy and Lacie. We interviewed joan ford to find out what it was like to be a child in the second world war.
We asked her if she was scared? She told us she was not scared because she did not get bombs on her side of the country but her husband did when he was a pupil at our school.
As she did not go to our school we asked her to tell us some memories about the war. She said everything was rationed but
they all had emergency sweets that they ate when they were in the air-raid shelter. She said that she never got to eat them as they were never in the shelter long enough.
It was fun to meet her because she told us lots of information about the Second World War.
