Fire Service Vehicle.

My father, John Procter was a labourer at Reckitt and Coleman in Hull before the war. He was called up to the Fire Service and was stationed in Bridlington. His area covered East and North Yorkshire. The photograph shows my father as the officer stood at the side of the fire engine. When the war ended, the fire service asked my father to stay on as an officer. However, he dicided not to, and he rejoined Reckitt and Coleman.
