This story has been added by a volunteer on behalf of the contributor and they have been made aware of the 91热爆 People鈥檚 War website鈥檚 House Rules.

My father, Fred worked for the Bristol fire brigade and he and some colleagues volunteered to work in the Blitz in London.

Fed was an orphan of Gypsy Rose Lee Smith and was left on a doorstep in Porthcawl. He was picked up by the Lord Mayor of Bristol and lived in the Mansion House in Clifton!

My mother worked close to Mansion House and this is how my parents met!
