I met some Army men who had been in North Africa. They were the American 5th Army, they’d been out there a couple of years. They said to us “ hey you limeys, where’s the God Damn shooting gallery?” we told them to go over the hill where the fighting was about 3 km away. A few hours later when they returned and they had lost most of their men.
