An Evacuee by Jean Marshall.

I was born on 31st October 1940 in Swindon, Wiltshire. My pregnant mother had been evacuated from Hastings, Sussex because of the bombing. We returned to Hastings in 1941 and because of the contiued bombing , we often slept in the St.Clements caves along with hundreds of others.
