One night we were all at home Mam, Dad (who worked at a Reserved Occupation) and me and 2 brothers 1 sister. When our eldest sister said she was going to pictures with a friend, so off she went leaving us all listening to the radio. While she was out the sirens went and we waited hoping she would come home but she didn't so we where sent down the shelter, when the all clear went we all went back into the house only to find my sister Ella had come home eaten my supper and gone to bed and slept through it all.
