When the troop ship got to the bottom of the Red Sea, there was an announcement over the tannoy 鈥淭his is your Captain speaking, as we are arriving in the enemy waters at five to twelve we will fire all the small arms and at 12:00 we will fire the 4.7鈥
After a rat-a-tat-tat, there was a big bang and the rudder jumped off its pintles.
We had to go back up the red seat to dry dock.
