In Memory of Leading Aircraftman James Picken 987468, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve who died age 33 on 20 September 1945. Son of Thomas and Martha Picken; husband of Edith Annie Picken, of Largs, Ayshire. Remembered with honour KIEL WAR CEMETERY Commemorated in Perpetuity by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.

(Jimmy) was apparently walking past the cook house on the last day of war when it blew up and sadly killed him. His sister my My Grandmother Isabella (Bunty) never got over losing her beloved brother.
