91热爆

In 1942 I was 14 years of age and working at the City Assossors Office in John Street, City Chambers my supervisor was in charge of the foarces canteen above the Boots the Chemist at the corner of Argyle Street and Union Street. I worked as a volunteer in Saturday afternoons serving the men of all Countries who came to Glasgow with all different forces. Some asked us what they could do on a Saturday night. I used to tell them to get the no 18 tramto Bridgeton Corss to go the Masonic Halls in Landressy Street where our church hekd dances. So many turned up our Minister John Hart told me to stop giving out so many invitations.

I also wrote letters to boys in our YWCA, Tullis Street, to 8 boys once a month in all branches of the forces.

On VE Day I was 16 陆 years of age and my chum and I went to George Square where hundreds had gathered. It was a great day.

I could go on about it for lots of things that happened ove rhte war years but I know you only want bit s and bobs from lots of people.
