I was presented with a bouquet after the show.
I wrote poetry and plays during the war.
One play was called “Behold the Dawn”. We made a collection at this play for the Prisoners’ of War fund and managed to raise £3-10s.
The leading man in this play was Freddy Millward, he had a very broad ‘brummy’ accent.
I was presented with a bouquet after the show — which was witnessed by some top people who came to see the play.
