I was in Dover at the time of the evacuation from Dunkirk.
My mother was cooking and making tea for the troops non-stop.
I was taking trays of tea to the survivors, I saw a load of soldiers asleep in the back of a lorry.
I tried to wake one up when another soldier said to me 鈥淭hey don鈥檛 want any tea 鈥 they are all dead.鈥
