91热爆

I was a chauffuer in the 91热爆 Guard at Todmorden in Yorkshire. One of the perks was that I held the keys to the requisioned car and the garage. Perfect, because at this time I was courting my future wife and the back seat of the car made a very cosy love nest!

On one 'unofficial' trip to my young lady's I left the car outside her house and as was the law at the time, removed the rota arm to immobilise it for any potential enemy use.

Unfortunately, in doing this, the carbon brush and spring dropped onto the gravel covered road and we hadn't a hope in hell of finging it, especially in the dark! So I was faced with a dilemma. Here I was on an illegal journey with a car that wouldn't go! Inspiration came!!

I stuck a used bus ticket up the hole where the spring went and then found a very thick pencil, which I broke in two and stuffed one half up the same hole as the bus ticket. With fingers crossed I pressed the starter and Eureka! It worked! Would you believe this rapid repair stayed in place for the following two years?
