This story was submitted to the Peoples War site by Elise Cahill.
When I joined up in 1942 The Royal Air Force, as a flight mechanic.
We worked on spitfires and hurricanes, We trained in Buckinghamshire.
During the war I was stationed in Gloster and Northumberland. Then I met my husband who had returned Malta, and we got married in 1945.
