This Group shot of the ARP Wardens of Dorchester was taken in 1945. Douglas Jackman, MBE,JP, a well known local figure is in the centre of the Group. The one wearing Glasses.

Whilst Freda Wade was serving in the WREN'S with the Far Eastern Fleet, her Father, Douglas Jackman, MBE, JP, was Controller of the local ARP Wardens.
