There was in Greenock during wartime days, a well known worthy called Puchle Coyle. Before radios were electric, the source of power was an accumulator (something like a car battery). These had to be recharged from time to time. Puchle asked a young lad if he would take accumulator to be recharged at a garage at Victoria harbour. He promised the lad a sixpence for his troubles. On his way back with the accumulator, Puchle was watching out of his window and saw the lad swinging it around his head. Puchle called angrily to the lad, saying 鈥淒on鈥檛 swing that accumulator, you鈥檒l mix up all the stations鈥.
