My Grandfather, James Colclough was growing up on the Irish front in Dublin, Ireland. His father, Paddy Colclough was a member of the L.D.F (local defence force). His job was to patrol the streets of Dublin at night. When the German bombers flew over Dublin to drop their bombs one landed in the Phoneix Park (home of the home of The President of Ireland) my grandfathers father took him to see the bomb damage. Of course all the boys in his class were jealous!
