Sheila Fenn as an evacuee in June 1940 in Aberdere South Wales.
Gwen and Lynn Morris lived in a flat in a beautiful house which once belonged to Lord Mardy. The large garden was divided up into plots and Gwen and Lynn grew vegetables and soft fruit. I never went hungry, Lynn was a good cook and worked wonders with the meagre rations supplemented with fresh garden produce.
