Jacqueline Mennessier and Maire d'Etrepagny Pierre Beaufils
The storey is already on the site, this is more of a thank you to Jacqueline whose hospitality since we first met on the 29.08.04 has been truly amazing.
The Maire of Etrepagny also extended such a warm welcome to our family as have the local people of Etrepagny.
Jacqueline lost her own brother Robert on the 19.08.44 he was shot a few miles away by the Germans, so Jacqueline completely understands the loss that my late father and his brother Denis and sister Norah felt.
Last November on remembrance Sunday we were guests of the Maire in Etrepagny. The number of local people that turned up to the service was beyond words, the church was full.
We are the family of just one of the men that lost their lives that day and cannot thank them enough for the welcome that we received.
I just hope that one day a member of the other families will read this storey and know that their relitive/s are equally not forgotten.
