Jill Stevens Dad is 88now. He was in-valid out of the RAF in the second world war because he suffered terribly with duodenal ulcers. One day Jills mum went out to queue to buy the precious fish which jills Dad had to eat because of his ulcers. During this time there were raids and when Jills mum came hurrying home she rounded the end of the road to discover all the houses had gone, all wiped out- except her home. In fear she rushed inside to discover her husband, still lying in bed but covered by plaster as the bedroom ceiling had fallen on him.
