About tea time once on a Sunday I was going to take a can of tea to my uncle who was a milkman in Flemingate. Because he wasn't in his dairy I knew he would be in the field milking so I took it Mr and Mrs Cross who lived in the bungalow and left it there for him. On the way back the plane came over and dropped some bombs on Beverley hitting houses in Beverley. One bomb hit the bungalow. I am here to tell the tale, but unfortunately Mr and Mrs Cross died. My uncle came back from milking and was disappointed that he couldn't have his tea because the can had been squashed. There were houses in Flemingate bombed. I believe they were called Brentwood Villas.
