During the war there were land mines, now they were massive big bombs. My sister lived at Finsbury Park quite near the station. My brother-in law had bunked off from the army for the weekend and was enjoying a weekend at home with his wife.
A bomb dropped and hit one side of the house.

My sister and brother-in-law put the children under the table for shelter. My sister was covered in blood and so was one of the babies. My sister stayed in the house with one baby, whilst my brother-in-law ran to the hospital carrying the baby through the raid. They got to hospital, cleaned up the baby, and discovered it was only beetroot juice.
