Connie Matthews in her WREN uniform aged 21 in 1944.
Taken at The News Theatre in Castle Street, Bristol, one of the only two buildings left standing whilst home on leave from Warsash, near Southampton, on the River Hamble.
She was stationed at HMS Tormentor - a D Day landing craft base.
Connie later married and became Mrs K R Gregory
