The Duke of Gloucester came to Cheslyn Hay ,he met the headmaster Mr. Carter of Pinfold Lane school which is no longer there. Mr Carter wanted to introduce the Boy's clubs in the vilaage. I stood with my mother opposite Mr Picken's grocery shop and waved a flag my mother gave me.I think it was in 1939-1940 .
