I was evacuated to Shere in Surrey. We all lined up the boys and the girls. An old lady looked after us and were in the middle of an ammunition bomb. We didn鈥檛 have any gas, electricity or running water. The lady in the house had a pump in the front garden and we would pump the water out from the ground underneath. After I came back to London I slept in Earl鈥檚 Court tube station. There were bunk beds on the platform.
