The photograph shows Jack Evans, "Coogie" with a friend walking at the Lido, Italy.

The gentleman who he is pictured with was a close friend and Coogie was the best-man at his wedding held at San Giorgio Maggiore church. The church is on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore - located across the water from the Piazzetta San Marco in Venice.

They both served in the Royal Electrical Mechanical Engineers (REME) based in Italy from 1945 - 1948.
