My War as a teenager, living at Sratton Cirencester. My parents were in business in Birmingham, I lived with my Aunt and Grandmother. I went to school in Birmingham but spent all holidays in Gloucestershire. I can remember an Austrian Prisoner of War at Bagendon. He gave me his sweet ration coupons and thats all!!I worked voluntarily at the Bingham Hall "Doughnut Dugout" serving coffee, coke and dougnuts. My proper job was as a legal secretary at Mullings and Elliott in Cirencester. I visited the wounded at Circester Park where there were two American hospitals. I used to cheer them up and thats all!! We jitter bugged the night away.
