war cooking was a strange affir. It seems to have depended on all sorts of things. Ingredients, market values, black market, families growing their own, stolen stuff (sometimes!) and the great good use of recipes to make do.
I'd love to hear some of your favourite recipes such as, mock goose, mock wedding cake, carrot Xmas pudd, soups etc.
Anyone?
