My mum dished out tea and sympathy to the boys who came back from Dunkirk. Lots of them were stationed at Rouken Glen Park in Giffnock which was turned into an army camp. Mum used to entertain the soldiers. They came to our house for dinner, a bath and a chat with my dad. They did this for two or three years before they moved off again to the Front.
