Husband was in airforce during war. He was involved in bombing Dresden. I could hear the planes going overhead where I lived and knew the destination. My husband used to have terrible nightmares over what he was having to do as he knew he was killing women and children and imaged what he would feel like if he came home and found us, his wife and child dead. War makes us all do things we wouldn't otherwise. It's a terrible thing.
