CULROSS
was one of the wealthiest Royal Burgh's, enjoying trade in coal and salt
with the Low Countries and Scandinavia. The local merchant Sir
George Bruce owned the saltpans of the area and invested his wealth in
a home in Culross, known today as 'The Palace'.
