and the site for a headquarters. In front of the Fort
runs a section of ditch.

Rough Castle is the best preserved section of the Antonine Wall. Complete
with rampart and ditch as well as the remains of one of the walls
forts and a stretch of the military way, the road that ran behind
the Antonine Wall for moving troops and supplies. |
