Singer/songwriter Deborah Hodgson, who is from Worcester, and her voice and influences are taken from two greats from the late 60's scene, Joni Mitchell and Joan Baez. Now she's following in their footsteps after performing on The Big Top stage at The Isle of Wight Festival in 2009. Her poignant lyrics and beautiful melodies reflect other influences, notably her celtic roots. She says she was delighted to be selected to play at such a big festival: "Sharing the music I love, at a festival which has folk music at its heart, is a wonderful experience, and to follow in the footsteps of some of the great female folk artists that have inspired me, is an amazing feeling."
