 Jo Jo from Malvern was one of a number of pupils from The Chase High School in Malvern to visit the First World War memorials in France and Belgium in 2008.听 She was particularly impressed by the grandeur of the memorial at Vimy Ridge, but it wasn't until she started looking to see if any of the dead soldiers shared her family name, that she was truly moved.听 Only then did she begin to identify with the fallen men as people, and to appreciate the scale of the sacrifice made by so many. last updated: 05/11/2008 at 12:32 SEE ALSOYou are in: Hereford and Worcester > Video Nation > Making Connections  |
