Be in the Big Picture!

Send us your pictures of this area and become part of record-breaking attempt to create the world's largest photo montage.

The Big Picture aims to make the biggest photo album the West Midlands has ever seen, and they need over 100,000 images if they're to create a world record-breaking photo montage.

You can add your pictures to this montage - they don't have to be arty or professional, but they just have to be photos of people or places in Herefordshire or Worcestershire that matter to YOU.

Take a look at these examples that people have already been sent to us:

Submitting your photos

Over the next six months, people can submit their own photos to the online gallery to help build up The Big Picture, either by handing prints into their local participating Jessops store, or uploading digital images directly on www.inthebigpicture.co.uk.

The Big Picture team are also interested in finding out the stories behind the pictures, to provide a fascinating insight into the lives and loves of local residents.

Project manager, Kerry Endsor, said: "The Big Picture is a unique opportunity for us to build a snapshot of Hereforshire and Worcestershire, and the wider region, through the eyes and experiences of the people who live here.

"By taking part, local people will be part of an exciting world record attempt, and be able to show their photos to a huge audience both online and through a number of planned exhibitions and events across the region over the next six months.

"What I am personally really pleased about is that people are not only sharing their photos, but the stories behind them.

"These are funny, cheerful, moving, dramatic and everything else in-between. We are painting a picture of a region full of life, humour, vitality and beauty - a really fitting picture of the West Midlands and the people in it."
