Judy was a police officer for over 29 years, starting her career in December 1976. She was forced to leave the police after receiving a leg injury. Judy is 55 years old and has been looking for a new job since July 2006, but has regularly been told at her age, with "no skills" she can only expect to get a minimum wage type job. She disagrees with this and believes the experience she has acquired as a police officer can be well used in the civilian world. Judy has asked 91Èȱ¬ Hereford and Worcester to help her with finding a job which involves a lot of contact with people, not just sitting in an office on her own. She would love to be involved in research work of some kind. At the moment (and for the forseeable future) Judy is unable to have a job that involves a lot of walking about or standing up for long periods. Here Judy talks about her aims:
